Our Girls Leadership Program creates an environment where girls feel safe, comfortable, supported and loved.
Go, Girl, Go Curriculum (Ages 4 to 13)
GoGirlGo! builds healthy, active and confident girls. The curriculum focuses on improving the social and emotional health and well-being of girls by combining sports and physical activity, leadership, and education. Each lesson is designed to increase self-worth, build confidence, and lower stress in our participants. The connection our students make while participating in this program helps their mental development and teaches them ways of overcoming challenges as a group.
We Play Interactive Curriculum (Ages 8 to 17)
We Play takes a holistic approach that builds girls’ agency, with respect for individual experiences and learning styles.
We Play inspires girls of all backgrounds and abilities to elevate their voices and discover their passions through physical activity and sports. It is based on the principles that girls own their power, embrace their individuality and develop the confidence and skills to pursue their dreams.
This program is activity-based and includes best practices from the Women’s Sports Foundation’s award-winning GoGirlGo! curriculum used for more than 20 years to help girls become more active. It also builds on the latest research and insights from program leaders, coaches, parents and girls from around the country.
Interactive sessions that address social-emotional learning, leadership, and Common Core standards and that provide opportunities to link to the school day curriculum.
The program has been designed to be facilitated over the course of a school year, engaging young men mentally and providing a distinctly physical component, sometimes light, sometimes rigorous.
The curricular framework is established through six components:
LEAD—Introduction to leadership themes and expectations, creating a socially and emotionally safe and positive peer group.
WHO?—Examining the diverse characteristics of identity among young men.
STEP—Developing a sense of collaboration among the group and honing interpersonal relationship skills.
OWN —Developing a sense of pride and accountability regarding life choices.
MAN —Determining the characteristics of a positive male role model.
RISE —Creating a vision and actionable plans for the future.
Leadership Fuel curriculum helps students connect with their peers, become independent thinkers, understand the relationship between effort and excellence, and a range of protective factors such as future orientation and goal setting.
